Trenton, NJ, July 8, 2013 -- This year marks the Centennial year for the Lovely Ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University. These students wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need. The first public act performed by the Delta Founders involved their participation in the Women's Suffrage March in Washington D.C., March 1913. Delta Sigma Theta was incorporated in 1930 (http://www.deltasigmatheta.org/history.htm).

On July 6, 2013, the Dynamic Delta Upsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was pleased to host a Centennial Send-off BBQ in honor of the Trenton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. (TAC) as they prepare to attend their 51st National Convention in Washington, DC. The ladies of TAC have served the Mercer County, NJ community for sixty-one (61) years and are commended for their dedication to transforming lives and impacting communities. Please be sure to keep up to date on the various activities of the Trenton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. at: http://www.trentondst2.com/dst2009/
