Trenton, NJ – Oct 20, 2010 -- Delta Upsilon’s Social Action Committee, continues to support the Trenton, NJ, Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) as part of the community outreach. Five Delta Upsilon brothers (Brothers Brian Alford, Rocky Diggs, Steve Jackson, Rasheed Muse, and Aula Sumbry) volunteered to serve dinner at the Escher Street facility.

“Our efforts were supplemented by students from The College of New Jersey who were also volunteering,” said Bro. Eugene McCray, who is an active member of the social committee.
This is the fourth time that Delta Upsilon Brothers volunteered at TASK, this year. “Over those four occasions, approx 25 different Delta Upsilon Brothers have generously given their time,” said Bro. McCray. Delta Upsilon Brothers will be back at the Soup Kitchen on December 15, 2010.

Bro. Aula Sumbry, who heads the social action committee; has over 30 years of community organizing, has put together a social action committee that has completed over 30 activities this year. Upon leading the social action committee, he made a commitment to make Omega Psi Phi’s Delta Upsilon Chapter number one throughout the Trenton area in terms of community involvement. So far, he is on track to achieving this goal.
