imageDr. Ernest E. Just (1883-1941) Dr. Ernest E. Just was born in Charleston, South Carolina and graduated from the Industrial School of the State College, Orangeburg, South Carolina. Dr. Just also attended Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, New Hampshire. Dr. Just obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dartmouth College (Phi Beta Kappa) and was awarded the Spingarn Medal by the NAACP in 1915. Dr. Just earned his Doctorsof Philosophy Degree from University of Chicago in 1916 and became the 19th honoree in the U.S. Postal Service’s Black Heritage Stamp Series on February 1, 1996.

 



imageProfessor Frank Coleman (1890-1967) Frank Coleman was born in Washington, D.C. and graduated from the M Street High School, Washington, D.C. Brother Coleman obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Howard University in 1913. Brother Coleman later earned his Master of Science Degree from the University of Chicago and obtained advanced training from the University of Pennsylvania. Brother Coleman was a professor and head of the Physics Department at Howard University. Brother coleman was also a U.S. Army Officer and served in World War I.

 


imageDr. Oscar J. Cooper (1888-1972) Oscar J. Cooper was born in Washington, D.C. and graduated from the M Street High School in Washington, D.C. Dr. Cooper obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Howard University in 1913. Doctor Cooper later earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Howard University in 1917 and pacticed medicine in Philadelphia, PA for 50 years.

 


imageBishop Edgar A. Love (1891-1974) Edgar A. Love was born in Harrisburg, Virginia. Bishop Love graduated from the Academy of Morgan College and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Howard University in 1913. Bishop Love later earned his Bachelor of Divinity Degree from Howard University in 1916 and a Bachelor of Sacred Theology Degree from Boston University in 1918. Bishop Love was honored with a Doctor of Divinity Degree from Morgan College in 1935. Bishop Love was a U.S. Army Chaplain and served in World War I. Bishop Love held office of Bishop in the Methodist Church.
